- What was life like for Māori before the Treaty? It was bad because there were no laws so people from other countries would just do whatever they wanted
- What were Pakeha doing in New Zealand before the Treaty? They were finding a translation to speak their language.

A treaty is a agreement between two states
Why did some Māori agree to sign the Treaty?
Because they would of had peace with the british
Why did the British want a Treaty? They wanted to have more power, and to expand.
